Really great company. Rented a container for almost a year during house renovations, and couldn't have been happier with the price or service. Unlike the national chains there was no pressure to take out insurance (that's entirely down to you) and as a result the total cost was much lower. Good customer service too. There were a couple of times my number wasn't recognised to open the gate, including very early on a Sunday morning and very late on a weekday evening , and they answered the phone immediately and sorted it out.
Really helpful staff, helped me work out the size of the storage unit I needed. Quick support on site when needed. Recommend using this company, if needed again will definitely use.

Which size do you need?
Every unit at Rhino Storage Southwick is a ground-floor container. Units run from a 15 sq ft locker up to a 20-foot, 160 sq ft container (15, 20, 29, 30, 37, 38, 40, 80 and 160 sq ft). Here is what each size holds in plain words, so you can pick one before you book.
The sizes
- 20 sq ft: 4 ft wide by 5 ft deep, 9 ft 6 in high
- 40 sq ft: 4 ft wide by 10 ft deep, 8 ft 6 in high
- 80 sq ft: 8 ft wide by 10 ft deep, 8 ft 6 in high
- 160 sq ft: 8 ft wide by 20 ft deep, 8 ft 6 in high
What fits in each
As a rule of thumb, 40 sq ft takes the contents of a studio flat, 80 sq ft a two-bedroom flat, and 160 sq ft a three- or four-bedroom house or a small business’s stock and equipment. A 160 sq ft container is 20 feet long, so a van-load of furniture goes in with a walkway down the middle; an 80 sq ft unit takes a two-bedroom flat stacked to the roof; a 40 sq ft unit is the boxes, a wardrobe and a bike.
Between sizes?
Take the smaller one. There is no long-term contract, so you can move up when a bigger unit is free, and you only ever pay for the space you are using.

How high are the units?
The heights are listed above for each size; most containers are 8 ft 6 in or 9 ft 6 in inside, so wardrobes and mattresses stand upright.

Yes. Give us a call and, subject to availability, you move to the next size up or down; there is no long-term contract holding you to the first choice.
Can I drive up to the unit?
Our outdoor containers are all ground floor with 24/7* drive-up access through a secure electric gate, with CCTV on site. A few units have limited hours, shown on each unit: the indoor units are open Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 4pm, and the 37 sq ft units 8am to 7pm, seven days a week.
Every unit is an insulated steel container on the ground floor with DryBox condensation control, behind a secure electric gate with CCTV on site.
