The outdoor units are insulated steel containers on the ground floor with 24/7 drive-up access; the lower-cost units are inside an access-controlled building, on the hours shown on each unit.

About Warminster

Warminster is a historic market town in south-west Wiltshire, on the western edge of Salisbury Plain, with a parish population of 18,173 in 2021. Its name first occurs in the early 10th century, and the Minster Church of St Denys was begun in the 11th. The market was the focus of the town’s prosperity, with wool, clothing and malting trades established by the 16th century, and in 1830 it was regarded as the second largest corn market in the west of England. There is evidence of prehistoric settlement at the nearby Iron Age hill forts of Battlesbury Camp, Scratchbury Camp and Cley Hill, and the luxury glovemakers Dents moved their headquarters and factory to the town in 1937.

Warminster today

The High Street and Market Place have many fine buildings, among them the Athenaeum — Wiltshire’s oldest working theatre, showing films since 1897 — and the Town Hall of about 1837, whose front is a replica of Longleat. The British Army’s Waterloo Lines and Battlesbury Barracks are on the edges of the town, and Longleat, with its safari park, and Center Parcs Longleat Forest have become significant local employers. The town has a library, museum, sports centre with pool and a selection of independent shops and restaurants, and the Lakeside Pleasure Grounds have a boating lake and splash pool. The station is on the Wessex Main Line, and the A36 and A350 bypass the town to the south and west. Moving in, clearing out or between homes — our Southwick yard is about 14 minutes away.

Units run from 15 sq ft to a 160 sq ft (20 ft) container. As a rough guide: 15 to 20 sq ft takes boxes, a bike or the contents of a box room; 29 to 40 sq ft a one-bedroom flat or a garage clear-out; 80 sq ft the contents of a two- or three-bedroom house; 160 sq ft a large family home or business stock.
